Jerry started his guard career as a dare during his senior year of high school, back in 2000. Best decision!
Went on to assist some fellow seniors to start a middle school program, Overbrook MS. The school moved to South Brook MS and was taught under Jerry's care for the next 12 years before moving to Florida.
During that time, Jerry was involved in numerous programs throughout the Pittsburgh area. From performing both indoor (Dark Horizons & Excel) and DCI ( Madison Scouts) to teaching, the love of the arts was always present.
Moving to Florida, on a wing and a prayer, in 2012, Gulf Breeze took me under their wing to revive the program for the next 4.5 years before moving on to West Florida HS as the current guard director.
As the director of West Florida, the students have gone on to win numerous awards, including a second place finish at the Pensacola Regional in SRA, then making finals at the same regional in SA the following year.
One thing I’ve always told my students “Never expect perfection. Instead expect progression.”
