Jacob Head - Guard Representative Part of the drumline at Tate in the early 80s I was introduced to Winter Guard at our circuit’s first indoor competition in 1981. Immediately a fan , my brothers BB gun was quickly taped up and I begun to teach myself after band practice. Thankfully with the help of some  dear friends from the Chaparrals I could finally execute a 360 without hitting myself in the head. As the years went on I was able to perform with Generis as well as consult with various units within our circuit and develop lifelong relationships. Winter Guard is something that moves me more than any other art form,  and I’m so proud of the success our circuit has had over the decades. There isn’t another activity that combines so many elements to create such beauty. I really admire all of the hard working performers. Currently, I direct DeLuna Senior Color Guard. Comprised of former circuit performers and instructors who enjoy our activity and love nothing more than to cheer each unit on as they take the floor.
